Introduction

Family Cat Asthma Tracker ("the App") is developed and operated by DavidPM, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple, we receive:

• Email address (or an Apple Private Relay address if you choose "Hide My Email")
• Display name (first and last name, provided only on initial sign-in)
• User ID (a unique identifier assigned by Apple)

We do not collect or store your Apple ID password. Authentication is handled entirely by Apple's Sign in with Apple service.

Pet Health Data

You provide the following information about your pets:

• Pet name, species, breed, and date of birth
• Baseline respiratory rate
• Respiratory rate measurements over time
• Asthma attack records, including severity, symptoms, and potential triggers
• Weight measurements
• General notes about your pet's health

Medication Data

• Medication names, types, and quantities
• Dosing schedules and administration history
• Which family member administered each dose
• Equipment cleaning and maintenance logs
• Refill dates and supply levels

Family & Household Data

• Family group name and invite code
• Family member roles (owner, caregiver, pet sitter)
• Temporary access codes for pet sitters
• Family activity logs (who performed actions and when)

Pet Photos

• Photos you upload of your pets, stored via Apple CloudKit

Notification Preferences

• Your notification settings, quiet hours, and reminder timing preferences

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the App's functionality:

• Account management: To create and maintain your account and authenticate your identity
• Medication tracking: To log doses, send reminders, and track medication supply levels
• Health monitoring: To record and display your pet's respiratory rates, weight, and asthma episodes over time
• Family coordination: To allow family members and pet sitters to share caregiving responsibilities and see each other's logged activity
• Notifications: To send medication reminders, low supply alerts, and health-related notifications based on your preferences

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the App's core functionality.

Data Storage & Third-Party Services

Supabase

Your account information, pet data, medication records, health measurements, and family data are stored on Supabase, a cloud database service. Supabase encrypts data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our Supabase project is hosted in a secure, managed environment. For more information, see Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Apple CloudKit

Pet photos are stored in Apple's CloudKit service and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. Photos are resized and compressed before upload.

Apple Push Notification Service (APNs)

Notification content (pet names, medication names, schedule information) is delivered through Apple's local notification system on your device. We do not operate a remote push notification server.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.

Your data is shared only:

• Within your family group: Family members and authorized pet sitters in your household can see shared pet data, medication logs, and activity history
• With service providers: Supabase (database hosting) and Apple CloudKit (photo storage) process your data on our behalf to operate the App
• When required by law: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Your user profile is permanently removed
• Your association with family groups is severed
• Dose logs you administered are retained in anonymized form for the family's medication history continuity
• Pet photos you uploaded may remain accessible to other family members

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the App. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. When you delete your account:

• Your personal profile data (email, display name) is permanently deleted
• Your family membership is removed
• Other family members will lose access to any shared data attributed to you
• If you are the family owner, remaining members may lose access to the family group

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted storage at rest via Supabase
• Authentication handled by Apple's Sign in with Apple service
• Row-level security policies on our database

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
